Its founder, Carlo Piana, has a long experience in dealing with Free and Open Source Software matters. During the recent years he has been under the spotlight for his activities as the external counsel of the Free Software Foundation Europe and for taking part in various activities in the antitrust field, like the actions to counter the abuse of monopoly power by Microsoft in Europe -- both in court and before the EU Commission -- and more recently by advising Oracle as co-counsel concentrating on the FOSS issues in the largest software merger matter ever, that of Sun Microsystems.

Array is a member of euroITcounsel, an European network of lawyers specializing in IT law, which lists some of the most prestigious law firms in the respective countries as members.
